Our evaluation standards have been created by a consortium of animal welfare experts, associations, and companies in the tourism sector, ensuring the rigor and validity of our evaluations.

Companies with animals under human care that have the Animal Wise seal will have been evaluated on the five core principles of animal welfare: nutrition, environment, health, behavior, and mental health, ensuring positive animal welfare.

Our seal covers a variety of tourism companies that interact directly or indirectly with various animal species, and our protocols are constantly evolving to adapt to new research and best practices.

Companies that earn our seal of quality commit to meeting minimum training and practice improvement requirements, in addition to achieving a minimum score on our rigorous evaluation parameters.

We demand compliance that exceeds the requirements established by European and Spanish legislation, taking as a reference the new UK regulation, "An Act to prohibit the sale and advertising of activities abroad involving low standards of animal welfare."

The purpose of our seal is to provide tourists with an option to make responsible choices, while raising consumer awareness about the importance of their travel decisions in relation to animal welfare and sustainability.
