2025 Updates: Collaboration with GSTC
Animal Wise has been invited to participate in an international roundtable organized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), alongside other industry experts. We will contribute to defining new global criteria on animal welfare in tourism. This collaboration reflects the recognition of our work and our commitment to a more ethical, sustainable, and animal-friendly tourism model.

Colaboración con Nakawe Project & Baja adventures
Nos complace anunciar la colaboración con Nakawe Project, una organización dedicada a la conservación marina y al desarrollo de un turismo regenerativo en Baja California Sur, México.
Junto a ellos nos sumamos a la campaña #WildlifeOverLikes, que busca sensibilizar sobre los riesgos que las interacciones impulsadas por redes sociales pueden representar para la fauna silvestre. Esta campaña promueve una observación responsable y respetuosa de la vida silvestre, instando a los viajeros a evitar comportamientos que puedan alterar el bienestar de los animales o sus hábitats. En el blog de Nakawe Project, se detallan las acciones conjuntas que estamos llevando a cabo para fomentar un turismo ético y sostenible que priorice la conservación y el respeto por la biodiversidad.

Animal Welfare in Tourism
As tourism becomes more widespread, it also seeks new attractions to keep surprising visitors. Animals are increasingly used as a draw, and their conditions are often far from ideal. Animal Wise is an organization dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in tourism activities involving animals.
We are joined from Tenerife by its founders, Ariana Hernández and Sara Torres.
